Root Cause Psychiatric Care,
Priced with Clarity
Board-certified psychiatry. Functional, integrative, and holistic medicine training. One physician who reads your labs, writes your plan, and knows your story. This is the Source Psychiatry™ Framework, and everything below is what it costs and how it unfolds, so you can decide with full information before a single conversation.
The Initial Evaluation
Becoming a patient is the first phase of the Source Psychiatry™ Framework — a structured diagnostic engagement designed so that by week eight you have a complete biological and psychological picture, and a plan built on current data.
Clinical History Session
Complimentary A full hour with our care team before any physician time is billed. We document your complete history, explain how the practice works, and answer every question, so your time with Dr. Williams goes to medicine, not paperwork.
Comprehensive Physician Evaluation
A root-cause psychiatric evaluation with Dr. Williams. Your baseline labs are ordered, medications or supplements may begin where appropriate, and a testing strategy is mapped if deeper investigation is needed. Your initial plan is documented after the visit.
Integration Visit
Your baseline results, interpreted. Dr. Williams walks you through every marker, addresses anything the labs surfaced, and finalizes your medications and supplements. You leave with your treatment plan complete and, if indicated, a recommendation for root cause testing.
Evaluating for ADHD? Add one diagnostic hour — $600
An honest ADHD diagnosis takes more than a single hour. When ADHD is a diagnostic question, your evaluation includes an additional 60-minute session for structured assessment and careful differentiation from conditions that mimic ADHD.
$1,650
Baseline labs are routine bloodwork, ordered by us and billed by the lab directly to your insurance (a drug screen is included as standard of care for patients prescribed controlled medications). Coverage varies by plan — confirm your lab benefits with your insurer. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, you can also submit a detailed receipt through the Reimbursify app after each visit for possible reimbursement.
For context: the equivalent intake journey with a functional medicine physician in Austin, meaning an initial evaluation plus a separately billed results review, commonly totals $2,750–$3,350 in physician fees, before any progress/follow-up visits and without the complimentary history hour included.
Your Initial Evaluation is $1,650 and guarantees two full 60-minute physician visits plus a complimentary care-team hour. This is three total clinical hours.
After Your Evaluation
Months 3–6: monthly 30-minute visits while your plan takes hold and is refined.
After month 6: stable patients are seen quarterly (minimum four visits/year). Patients on controlled medications are seen every other month (six visits/year) for responsible monitoring. Once stable, quarterly visits expand beyond psychiatric maintenance into health optimization, life design, and related goals
When functional test results arrive, you’ll have a dedicated results consultation of 60 to 90 minutes depending on the number of tests, unless your review is already included in a Functional Testing Package below.

This diagram carries no prices by design — see the sections above and below for exact figures.
Functional Testing Packages
When your baseline labs point deeper, functional testing is how we look. Each package pairs advanced functional laboratory testing with the thing no lab company can sell you: a physician-authored written synthesis of what your results mean, together, and the consultation to act on it.
When was the last time a physician wrote you a personalized report?
Which tests? That is a clinical decision, not a menu. Dr. Williams selects your panel based on your evaluation, your baseline results, and your history, the same way she selects a medication. You will know exactly what is being ordered and why before anything is drawn.
Fine print, stated plainly: additional specialty testing (including advanced infectious disease panels such as Lyme) may incur additional fees if clinically indicated. Consultation time beyond the included session is billed at standard follow-up rates.
Specialized Care
We do not surcharge by service. Every modality is billed as physician time, at the same visit rates listed above. The therapy determines the session length; the length determines the fee.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
Trauma processing without retelling. In published research, ART often achieves results in fewer sessions than EMDR, with many patients reporting meaningful relief within one to five sessions. Sessions run 60 or 90 minutes, billed as physician time.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
KAP sessions are billed as physician time, typically 2 to 2.5 hours per session, plus a facility fee paid directly to our partner infusion clinic. You will have the clinic’s current facility rates before you commit to anything.
Payment, Insurance & Practical Matters
We are a fee-for-service practice and do not bill insurance for visits. This is by design: no insurance company sits between you and your physician, and no visit is shaped by what a payer will reimburse.
Your insurance still works for you in two places. First, your baseline and routine laboratory work, which the lab bills to your insurance directly. Second, and often overlooked: reimbursement of your visit fees themselves.
Use them.
Many plans include out-of-network (OON) mental health benefits, and if yours does, a meaningful portion of your fees can come back to you. Here is how it works: once you meet your OON deductible, your insurance may reimburse a percentage of each visit, commonly in the range of 50 to 80 percent. Every visit you submit counts toward that deductible, so submit them all, starting with your first. We provide a superbill with every detail your insurer needs, and the Reimbursify app lets you upload it and track your claims in about a minute. One call to the number on your insurance card, asking about “out-of-network mental health benefits,” tells you exactly what your plan will do.
Reimbursement is between you and your insurer; we provide the detailed receipt and cannot guarantee any plan’s decision. Coverage depends on the insurance plan you have personally chosen.

HSA / FSA
Accepted. This practice is well suited to high-deductible plans and medical savings accounts. Payment is due at time of service.
Message your care team freely.
Scheduling, logistics, records, and general questions are always free through the portal. Messages outside of your appointment requiring Dr. Williams’s specific clinical judgment (a medication decision, new clinical question, form or letter) may carry a fee for time spent — we’ll tell you before anything is billed. Psychiatry is complex and clinical questions are best handled during appointments
Prescriptions are refilled at appointments.
You will always leave with enough medication to reach your next recommended follow-up. Please track your supply and keep your follow-up scheduled.
Cancellation
48 hours’ notice, for any reason. Inside 48 hours, the full visit fee applies, because your time is held exclusively for you.
Staying active
Patients not seen within 6 months become inactive. Returning within 6 to 15 months requires a 60-minute re-establishment visit ($600) so nothing is missed. After 15 months, a complete new Initial Evaluation is required. Quarterly care protects your continuity, and your rate.
We accept a limited number of
new patients each month.
The application takes about ten minutes; our team responds within three business days. If we’re the right fit, your complimentary Clinical History Session is the first thing we schedule.
