How It Works

Step 1: Medical Clearance
Prioritizing your safety is paramount as you embark on your transformative healing journey. Our initial focus will be conducting a thorough medical screening to carefully assess any potential medical or psychiatric contraindications that may pose a risk to your well-being. This crucial step ensures that proceeding with ketamine assisted psychotherapy is both safe and appropriate for you.

Step 2: Psychiatric Intake
In the intake session, you will have the opportunity to meet with Dr. Williams and openly share your personal story. This collaborative discussion will not only allow you to explore grounding tools but also provide an avenue to express your intentions for the healing process. The primary objective is to thoroughly prepare you for your upcoming ketamine medicine session, address any inquiries you may have, and ensure that consent is fully understood and reviewed.

Step 3: Medicine Sessions
In this 2.0-2.5 hour session, you will have the opportunity to experience the effects of ketamine within a secure, serene, and comforting environment. The initial dosage is intentionally kept low to observe how your body responds to ketamine. You will be encouraged to turn inward, finding comfort as you relax, listen to soothing music, and wear an eye mask. Throughout the experience, Dr. Williams will be present to ensure your safety, provide a supportive environment, and empower you on your journey.

Step 4 : Integration Sessions
Following each medicine session, a timely integration session with Dr. Williams will be scheduled. During this session, you will have the opportunity to process and discuss your ketamine medicine experience. It provides a space to explore any insights, emotions, or themes that emerged during the session and begin the process of integrating this transformative journey into your daily life. These integration sessions typically last between 50 to 75 minutes, allowing ample time for reflection and guidance.

Treatment typically includes preparation, guided sessions, and follow-up therapy to help patients process their experiences and support lasting mental health improvements.
Is psychedelic-assisted therapy legal in Texas?
Psychedelic-assisted therapy is legal in Texas only in limited circumstances. Ketamine-assisted therapy is legally available when provided by qualified medical professionals. However, substances such as psilocybin and MDMA are not currently approved for general therapeutic use in Texas and are generally only accessible through approved clinical research studies. Laws and regulations continue to evolve as research advances.
What is the most therapeutic psychedelic?
There is no single psychedelic that is considered the “most therapeutic” for everyone. However, psilocybin-assisted therapy has been among the most widely studied approaches for conditions such as depression, anxiety, and emotional distress, with research showing promising therapeutic benefits in carefully supervised clinical settings. The most effective treatment depends on an individual’s symptoms, medical history, and treatment goals.
What is the success rate of psychedelic-assisted therapy?
The success rate of psychedelic-assisted therapy varies depending on the condition being treated, the type of therapy used, and the individual patient.
